A collection of inspirational short essays dealing with everything from love, to acceptance, to confidence, and everything in between.
Honestly, I am beyond impressed. You can hide behind your fiction for most writing and obfuscate ideas and emotions through the veneers of character, plot, and theme…but here Matt has laid his life bare. I think I would rather spend an entire day naked at work than try and do what he’s done here.
It wasn’t an easy thing to do, and I tip my hat to you, sir.
Also, you don’t need to be gay to read this. There’s something in here for everyone, and I encourage you to pick up a copy, use it, and abuse it. Tear the pages out. Stick them around your house. Scribble your thoughts in the margins. Build upon the ideas in this book and make them yours.
Check out Matt Corker’s blog to get a good sense of what he’s like, and then buy this book for yourself and buy a copy for a friend.
The only small issue I have is that because it’s a self-published print-on-demand book, there are a few typos layout issues that keep it from looking 100%.
But who cares! A good friend published a book! And I think I grabbed the pre-release copy—I’m told some errors were corrected in the online version you can find at the link above.
