This just may be one of the best cookbooks I’ve ever read. Obviously, it has tasty recipes for one of my favourite cuisines, but it really shines because you can tell that the cook/author has so much love for his craft. The photos are excellent, and the write-ups for most of the recipes are longer than the instructions themselves.
You’ll end up learning a lot, because this style of cooking ends up becoming much more of an art than simply following a recipe. I already can’t wait to embellish my spice rack with a few key ingredients and let the experimenting begin.
I read this cover to cover in one sitting, finding out about spices and the Indian kitchen. If you’re even the tiniest fan, give this one a try. Guaranteed you won’t be disappointed.
