It’s easy to see Sanderson’s touch on the Wheel of Time.
I’m not talking about the writing or language style, but about the bigger plot structure.
Brandon just has a way of making plots “click.” I first noticed this in his Mistborn series, and it appears here again.
Like an intricate blacksmith’s puzzle (see what I did there?), the pieces fit together neatly—but not artificially.
There have also been some fan complaints that he wasn’t true to the characters, but I felt nothing of that. I first picked up this series because I knew that Brandon Sanderson had written the final books, and the reward is well worth the effort. He complements Jordan’s writing style in a way few authors could.
Only one more book left until the grand finale!
