This book one-ups the original in its ultraviolence and profanity.
And that’s saying something.
Everything goes wrong for Kick-Ass in this book, showing that being a superhero would actually have a lot more consequences than the movies would have us think.
It’s clear that that nothing is off-limits for the authors, which liberates them to tell the story that no one else has dared to. This also gives a nice realism to the dialogue. It’s fun to see characters actually talking like people actually do in real life.
If you’re ready for the most graphic and visceral story you’ve ever read, I recommend you pick up Kick-Ass 2.
