My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love this issue. The first three stories blew me away.

Nanny’s Day was short, but emotionally powerful.

Mrs. Hatcher’s Evaluation brought up some excellent questions about schooling and “teaching to the test”. Reminded me of some of the best teachers I’ve had, and how effective they were.

The Way of the Needle was the cherry on top of the cake. The author thought about the subtle nuances of the culture, and though it was so strange and foreign, it was immediately relatable. One of the best short stories I’ve read in a while.
