I’m not sure why I was so attracted to this book. It wasn’t really the characters or the plot or the idea, though they were all darn good.
Simply, the writing was beautiful.
Neil Gaiman lived up to all the expectations I had, and I delighted in following along the trip he takes the reader.
OK, this was a bad review. I didn’t tell you anything about it, and can’t even explain why I liked it. *shrug* The book was powerful enough for me to give it five stars—it touched me on a deeper level, and apparently subconsciously so.
