Book Review — The 33: Pramantha, Part 1 (The 33 #1) by J.C. Hutchins

The 33: Pramantha, Part 1The 33: Pramantha, Part 1 by J.C. Hutchins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

J.C. Hutchins is a writer for the 21st century.

Not only does he have writing chops (and let me tell you—he certainly knows his craft), he also has the whole technology side figured out as well.

Check out this project’s website for a design aesthetic that would make most companies jealous.

“The 33 isn’t a novel — it’s a short story series with recurring characters, told over TV season-like arcs. This approach is a fusion of episodic TV and serialized comic book storytelling: some of The 33’s adventures are told over multiple episodes, while others unfold as one-shot stories. The 33: Season 1 is currently planned for a 12-episode release.

Episodes are approximately 10,000 words long (around 50 average ebook pages, or 60 minutes of narrated audiobook), and are released monthly. Join The 33 newsletter above to receive updates when new episodes are released, as well as discounts and other newsletter-exclusive perks.”

Do yourself a favour and at least visit the website. This is a brilliant concept and an intriguing story. I can’t wait for the next episode.
