Book Review — Lazarus, Volume 1: Family by Greg Rucka and Michael Lark

Lazarus, Vol. 1: FamilyLazarus, Vol. 1: Family by Greg Rucka
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve been keeping up with Lazarus issue by issue, and I’m telling you, it’s not to late to pick it up. Do yourself a favour and hop on this train.

Everything works in this comic. The dystopian premise is believable—shockingly so. It sometimes scares me to think that our society could one day end up like this. The art is wonderful, the science and action are punchy, and how can you not like such a literally kick-ass female lead?

Lots of questions are still unanswered, and I can’t wait until Volume 2. It’s a bit of a wait, so I’ll just have to content myself with a reread until then.
