With the highly-anticipated release of Game of Thrones HBO release less that 17 days away, I thought I would pose this question to you, dear reader. (PS If you haven’t heard me rave about Game of Thrones yet, here are 10 excellent reasons why you should read this series).
Below are the mottos of the various major Houses set in the realm of A Song of Ice and Fire:
House Arryn – As High as Honour
House Baratheon – Ours is the Fury
House Greyjoy – We Do Not Sow
House Lannister – Hear me Roar!
House Martell – Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
House Stark – Winter is Coming
House Targaryen – Fire and Blood
House Tully – Family, Duty, Honour
House Tyrell – Growing Strong
Personally, I like the Lannister motto of “Hear me Roar!” Throughout the series, I’ve admired their ambition and relentless pursuit of their goals.

Ah, but I could never forgive the Lannister siblings for what they did to Bran in Game, so I’ll have to be all predictable and pick House Stark.
Personally, I like the Lannisters best. I love Tyrion.
I love Krakens and the Greyjoy colors, but since I am obsessed with honor and loyalty I like the Arryn motto the best. So which one…?
It’s not really about the house, it’s more about the individuals, Tyrion, Jon and Denny are the most, so to say, breathtaking characters, when it comes to houses I would most likely choose Stark – I’m from Scandinavia and yeah, winter is coming pretty soon. (yes, I am aware of the fact it’s August) Also we barely know anything about the other houses and the people that belong in them. So, relaying on the motto and the colour I would choose Stark (and Targaryen)

Targaryen and Stark.. I like Targaryens because of the fact that they are total badass. . But Starks would be my house. I love cold.
